Open Doors, Marmorist´s Club and National Plate Distributors Meeting are moving buyers
In order to further strengthen the business between buyers, distributors, marble artists and the more than 180 exhibitors of Cachoeiro Stone Fair 2019, the event’s organization is promoting three side events: the Open Doors project, Marmorist´s Club and the first edition of the National Meeting of Plate Distributors, in partnership with Abirochas.
“Cachoeiro de Itapemirim is known as the Brazilian marble capital and holds the largest ornamental stone processing center in the Americas. Therefore, nothing better than getting the visitors of the event to make the most of their time in the city to strengthen partnerships and make good business”, says director of Milanez & Milaneze, Flávia Milaneze.
In its third edition, Open Doors organizes groups to visit the headquarters of stone exhibitors located in the region. The visits took place on the morning of Wednesday (28) and Thursday (29), with the participation of more than 80 people, who had the opportunity to get to know the operation of 17 companies closely.
One of the participants this year was Oza Rochas do Brasil. According to Jean Fiorini, commercial director of the company, the ties created with the customer through this contact during the visit are essential. “As we have a huge range of companies here in the region, the customer can often be a little suspicious about new industries. Therefore, this project is essential to build trust between the company and the customers who come to visit us”, he states.
Eltemar Venturim, Bramagran’s director, also welcomed visitors at his company’s headquarters and talked about the opportunity to show materials to potential customers. “It is a great chance for visitors to see our production process, the materials we offer and even be enchanted by some exotic and distinctive product. The program is very important and the organization is to be congratulated”, he praises.
The architect Thais Figueiredo came from Belo Horizonte (MG) to participate in Cachoeiro Stone Fair 2019. She visited some companies through the Open Doors program and also praised the side event. “In addition to having the opportunity to see the material closely, this project strengthens our relationship with our customers, as they see that we are looking to update ourselves, attend events and this increases their confidence in our work” she states.
Another side event that is helping to further expand business opportunities during Cachoeiro Stone Fair 2019 is the Marmorist´s Club. The fair received about 60 selected buyers, including distributors and marble dealers from all Brazilian regions.
The couple Ana Paula Fonseca and Eduardo Fonseca, from Minas Gerais, said they already knew the fair and work with some companies from Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, but this was the first time they came through the project and were surprised. “It was a very positive surprise. Side events, such as Open Doors, allowed us to make great contacts and meet other companies that are not partners, but they will certainly be from now on. This experience is being completely different from all the others”, they say.
The marmorist Caio Strufaldi, from Santo André (SP), is participating in the fair for the first time and praised initiatives such as the Marmorist´s Club and Open Doors. “Open Doors system was what caught my attention the most. We have the opportunity to view the company’s production line, inventory and see the material in loco, as often only a few samples go to the fair. The companies participating in the project are certainly earning many points in the market”, he says.
National Meeting of Plate Distributors
In order to discuss the ornamental stone sector from the perspective of plate distributors from all over Brazil, Abirochas promoted, on Wednesday afternoon (28), the first National Meeting of Plate Distributors. The event brought together professionals in the Cachoeiro Stone Fair auditorium and provided an afternoon of positive discussions, with the presentation of the Academy of Stones project – focused on the domestic market and design giving value to the marmorist – and raising of collective demands.
The president of Abirochas, Reinaldo Sampaio, emphasized that, through the Academy of Stones, the purpose of the entity is to discuss a sectoral cohesion strategy focused on increasing the use of ornamental stones in Brazilian architecture. “We invite distributors not only to show what is being done and interest them, but also to discuss forms of cooperation that strengthen this long-term strategy. It is a project of great economic projection, with its own resources, but that, at the end of this cycle, needs to be continued”, he points out.
