30th anniversary commemorative edition of the fair ended on Friday night (30) and was marked by qualified visitation and the presence of more than 180 exhibiting companies.
In a 30th anniversary commemorative edition of the creation of the first fair of ornamental stones in Latin America, Cachoeiro Stone Fair 2019 ended on Friday night (30) and was special not only for the celebration of the three decades, but also for the generation of large business and qualified audience attraction from the first to the last day. There were more than 17 thousand visitors, who came from all Brazilian states, the Federal District and 16 other countries.
“Focused on networking and business, Cachoeiro Stone Fair’s 30th anniversary commemorative edition fulfilled its goal of bringing together entrepreneurs and buyers in one place. The fair had a very good result, exceeded the expectations of businessmen and gathered a public beyond expectations. During the four days, several innovations in inputs, technology for mining, processing and ore milling were presented, as well as exquisite materials with the differentials that only ornamental stones offer. Many businesses were made at the event and other initiates that will continue throughout the year”, says Tales Machado, president of Sindirochas.
Frederico Robison, president of Centrorochas, recalled that the fair reinforced the grandiosity of Espírito Santo in relation to the sector’s productive arrangement in the national and international markets. “During the four days, the event received buyers from international markets, including the United States, China, Mexico, Italy and Russia. The event is very important for the entire chain of ornamental stones and, besides being held in one of the largest manufacturing conglomerates in the world, brings news and contributes to the realization of new business”, he says.
President of Abirochas, Reinaldo Sampaio, emphasized that the importance of Cachoeiro Stone Fair is a realization of the whole market, from the producer to the buyer. “It was a general perception that in 2019 the fair increased compared to last year, which is a very interesting sign, mainly because the Brazilian economy has no signs of recovery. So everything indicates that the sector is finding a way to expand its market”, he says.
Among the more than 180 exhibiting companies, the mood was also one of satisfaction and duty fulfilled in another edition. Rexfort´s director, Márcio Migliavacca congratulated the organization. “You can see how much these outreach and strengthening actions are reflecting at the fair. From the first day we had a qualified visitation, I would even say that is the best of these 11 years that the company exhibits at the event”, he states.
Magban’s commercial director, Gonçalo Pena Machado, also praised the organization’s commitment to more professional direction for the event. “Cachoeiro Stone Fair is an opportune moment to get closer with customers, partners and also to seek new opportunities in the market. Once again, the fair was fantastic and we had very positive feedbacks”, he points out.
Another highlight of Cachoeiro Stone Fair’s 30th anniversary commemorative edition was the special projects, designed to further strengthen business between buyers, distributors, marble growers and exhibiting companies. Open Doors, the Marmorist´s Club and the first edition of the National Meeting of Plate Distributors, in partnership with Abirochas, were successful among the participants.
In its third edition, Open Doors was attended by over 80 people, who had the opportunity to get to know the operation of 17 companies closely. The architect Thais Figueiredo came from Belo Horizonte (MG) and praised the side event. “In addition to having the opportunity to see the material closely, this project strengthens our relationship with our customers, as they see that we are looking to update ourselves, attend events and this increases their confidence in our work” she states.
Another side event that helped expanding business opportunities during Cachoeiro Stone Fair 2019 was the Marmorist´s Club. The fair received about 60 selected buyers, including distributors and marble dealers from all Brazilian regions.
The couple Ana Paula Fonseca and Eduardo Fonseca, from Minas Gerais, said they already knew the fair and work with some companies from Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, but this was the first time they came through the project and were surprised. “It was a very positive surprise. Side events, such as Open Doors, allowed us to make great contacts and meet other companies that are not partners, but they will certainly be from now on. This experience was completely different from all the others”, they say.
In order to discuss the ornamental stone sector from the perspective of plate distributors from all over Brazil, Abirochas promoted, during Cachoeiro Stone Fair 2019, the first National Meeting of Plate Distributors. The event brought together professionals in the Cachoeiro Stone Fair auditorium and provided an afternoon of positive discussions, with the presentation of the Academy of Stones project – focused on the domestic market and design giving value to the marmorist – and raising of collective demands.
Cachoeiro Stone Fair is a realization of Milanez & Milaneze, company of VeronaFiere Group, with promotion of Sindirochas and Cetemag and support of Abirochas and Academia das Rochas.
