The 28th International Marble and Granite Fair – Cachoeiro Stone Fair, re-affirms the good results for the Dimensional Stone Sector.
With a positive balance, the 28th International Marble and Granite Fair – Cachoeiro Stone Fair 2009, ended this Friday (29th of august), the fair took place in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Espirito Santo. During the four days of the event, 180 exhibitors presented their new products, technological innovations and made plenty of contacts, by strategically increasing their market opportunities in the dimensional stone market. The fair attracted more then 20 thousand visitors from 27 Brazilian states, besides the foreign visitors from 25 countries such as Germany, Argentina, Australia, Bahamas, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, Chile, China, Columbia, Egypt, Ecuador, Spain, USA, France, England, Italy, Nicaragua, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Turkey and Venezuela.
Cachoeiro Stone Fair had a great outcome on the research done last week by the Jones do Santos Neves Institute, showing that Espirito Santo is no longer in recession with and that the dimensional stone sector is back, in the last trimester the sector exported US$ 118 millions, this amount is close the pre-crises amount.
“The Fair overcame all it expectations, showing that the dimensional stone sector has already overcome the crises and that it is coming back to normal. The proof to this is that 80% of the exhibitors has already confirmed their presence in the 2010 edition”, stated Cecilia Milanez, director of Milanez & Milaneze, the organizing company of the event.
For Emic Costa, president of Sindirochas (Dimensional Stone Association of Espirito Santo), the Fair overtook the sector with all the business done. “The entrepreneurs were present bringing novelties, and taking their clients to visit their companies, with this, a lot of business was done. With out any doubts this year was better then 2008 and next year it will be even better”.
The exhibitors were also very satisfied with the results of the Cachoeiro Stone Fair. “The exhibitors which displayed their products and served their clients with quality, surely, guaranteed good business”, stated Wagner Carlete, from Ventowag.
Five years without exhibiting in the Fair, Decolores stated with enthusiasm their return to the event. “Within the four days of the event we made good business with various countries from the Latin America, besides America and Canada”, stated Adriana Moulin, commercial advisor of the company.
The Cachoeiro Stone Fair happens on August 25th – 28th, at the Parque de Exposições Carlos Caiado Barbosa (Carlos Caiado Barbosa Expo Centre). The event is promoted by the Marble and Granite Technological Centre (Cetemag), by the Dimensional Stone Association of Espirito Santo (Sindirochas) and is presented by Milanez & Milaneze.

Cachoeiro Stone Fair 2009 celebrates 20 years
In two decades, the event has contributed by strengthening the image of the city as a world reference for dimensional stone.
The City of Cachoeiro de Itapemirim is the Brazilian capital for the marble and granite pole of the Americas.
